Crucial player confirms departure this season Three Saudi Pro League clubs are interested in
signing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.
The Brazilian has had a challenging second season with the Red Devils following his £70 million transfer from Real Madrid in August 2022. His performances have faced criticism, especially after the recent 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace where he played as a center-back.
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe planning a significant overhaul of the United squad, Casemiro may leave Old Trafford this summer. According to GOAL Brazil, the 32-year-old has become a primary target for Saudi Arabian clubs, with Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Qasidiya showing interest.

Al-Ahli, which features stars like Riyad Mahrez and Roberto Firmino, and Al-Qasidiya are reportedly the most interested in acquiring his services. If Casemiro moves to the Middle East, he would join former United teammates Alex Telles and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The report also mentioned that these clubs would not only match his current salary at United but also present a lucrative offer. Although Al-Nassr is interested in Casemiro, they are not prioritizing a central midfielder as they already have Marcelo Brozovic in that position.
Despite the transfer speculation, Casemiro has stated that he is happy at United. He said, “I’m well, I’m happy, living every day I get to play here. As I usually say, Manchester United gave me what I wanted. This joy of being able to enjoy the game, enjoy the Premier League. So, I’m happy to be here at Manchester United and enjoying the game.”
Ratcliffe, a minority shareholder at United, reportedly criticized the signing of Casemiro in a meeting with United executives, including Richard Arnold and John Murtough, even before the move was confirmed.
Rumors of Casemiro’s potential move to Saudi Arabia surfaced shortly after he told Erik ten Hag he did not want to play in the FA Cup final against Manchester City, although Ten Hag had stated he was not fully fit but still named him on the bench.
